Twinkle tuvo una carrera breve y fulgurante, un puñado de singles en los 60 y un album producido por Mike d'Abo, Michael Hannah: The Lost Years (1974), que no llegó a editarse y se creía perdido, hasta que hace unos años se recuperó en CD. Sus grabaciones siguen la mejor tradición del pop: canciones preciosas, arreglos y voces cuidados. Una heredera suya podría ser su compatriota y también compositora Kirsty MacColl. Terry, como el Leader of the Pack de las Shangri-Las, canta la muerte de un adolescente, y al igual que esta canción recibió en su día críticas por lo morboso del tema y lanzó a la rubia Twinkle al éxito.





"Twinkle career as a chart fact was brief. She had a second hit with GOLDEN LIGHTS (...), but her subsequent Decca discs - though often equally good - failed to sell and are now impossible rare.

This is the first collection of those singles. In fact, almost unbelievably, it's Twinkle's first LP. Also included are her Decca EP (one of the rarest 60's artefacts of all), her last single of the decade, taped for Immediate, plus a track from the session unissued at the time." Unos años después, RPM ha vuelto a editar esta recopilación, añadiéndole algunas canciones de su album inédito en los setenta, una versión en alemán de Tommy y una portada más atractiva.
